Set along the mountain-lined waters of Lake Wānaka, Sofi draws inspiration from the timeless essence of the Mediterranean and its warm, welcoming hospitality. Here, we open our doors as if welcoming you into our own home.

From lunch to late in Wānaka, our menus are thoughtfully crafted using locally sourced Otago produce. The atmosphere is alive with music, laughter, and the beauty of Lake Wānaka just right there.

Menus

With an evolving seasonal menu, our dishes are thoughtfully crafted to celebrate fresh, local produce, capturing the spirit of Mediterranean dining through the best of New Zealand’s ingredients.

  • The menu features a variety of healthy options, vibrant salads, grilled proteins, hearty grain bowls, fresh wraps, and house-made dips. Everything is crafted with wholesome ingredients, bold herbs, and bright flavours

  • Join us from 3–5 PM, where you can enjoy specials from our house-made cocktails, crafted with fresh ingredients and Mediterranean flair. On select days, we also feature live music, adding the perfect vibe to unwind and enjoy the moment.

  • Dinner is meant to be savoured, enjoy beautifully crafted Mediterranean dishes made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, perfect for sharing and lingering over. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out, Sofi is designed for long, memorable nights filled with great food, laughter, and connection

After many years of travel, and with a slow lifestyle embraced in our hearts, Sofi is our culinary canvas. The kitchen team brings the timeless culture and vibrant grilled flavours from southern Spain, Morocco, Greece, Turkey to the sun-kissed coasts of France, with subtle hints of influence from other corners of the world.

With Central Otago’s renowned wine production, we embrace the region’s strengths and offer a curated wine list featuring local selections such as Mount Edward, Rippon, and many more, as well as imported wines.
